Dr. Jones is in the House

Dr. Nicola Jones joined us for a few days and she shared some of her reflections of her time with us: "Every year when I come to Camp Kivita I am instantly reminded of what a powerful place it is for our campers and the staff who get to share the experience with them.  The special friendships that are renewed and the new ones easily made. The simple joys of just running through the wooded trails together to get to the next activity, having a swim buddy to go in the lake with, listening to camp stories and singing songs, eating camp food (maybe that’s not quite as magical J) and actually being allowed and encouraged to shout, sing and bang on the tables.  It is a beautiful place where many fantastic memories are made. I am grateful to everyone who makes it possible." We have been incredibly fortunate to have unwavering support from the medical teams at Sickkids both in assisting in completing medical clearance forms and coming to camp to provide the necessary medical care. On behalf of the camp team and campers....THANK YOU!
